As a woman in technology, I am both proud and energized by the progress we’ve made. The landscape has changed in meaningful ways, and more women are stepping into tech roles, leading teams, and driving innovation. But alongside that excitement, there’s a lingering truth—progress hasn’t been as fast or as widespread as it should be.

When I was in college, only two women, including myself, were in my computer science program out of 45 students. Decades later, the numbers haven’t shifted as dramatically as I had hoped. But rather than seeing this as discouraging, I see it as a call to action.

One of the most persistent challenges is the false notion that there are only a few seats at the table for women in tech. Too often, this leads to competition instead of collaboration—as if one woman’s success means another woman’s missed opportunity. But the truth is, the more we support, mentor, and champion each other, the more seats we create.

We need to break the mindset of scarcity and embrace one of abundance. There is room for all of us. Every woman who succeeds paves the way for more to follow. So let’s lift each other up, celebrate every win, and show the next generation of women in tech that they belong here—not in limited numbers, but in limitless potential.
