MILWAUKEE (CSB 58) — The “Hack the Dream: Use your Voice” event drew many to the Northwestern Mutal building downtown on Wednesday, March 27.

The event is held annually near the birthday of activist Cesar Chavez, and is focused on promoting education, leadership, and community impact.

The keynote speaker was presidential appointee Mara Candelaria Reardon, who focused her speech on the Biden Administration’s “Internet for All” initiative.

“The internet is not a luxury, the internet is a necessity, it’s a necessity for people for educational purposes, for access to healthcare, for economic empowerment, it is no longer a luxury, and we need to ensure that all of America can participate in the global economy and the opportunities that that provides,” said Mara Candelaria Reardon.

The event was hosted by i.c. stars who hold multiple events throughout the year that promote the real relationship between technology and advocacy.
