Mr. Moroney is currently Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Central States Funds which is the largest multi-employer Taft-Hartley organization in the U.S. Central States operates as both an $18B Pension Fund Manager and a $4B Health & Welfare company based in Rosemont, IL.

Previously, Mr. Moroney spent 30+ years in I.T. with 20 year’s experience in large-cap CIO roles at companies including Health Care Service Corporation (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma), The ServiceMaster Company (Terminix TruGreen, Merry Maids, others), the Food and Nutrition Sector of Monsanto (G.D. Searle, NutraSweet, Equal, Ortho Brands, others) and Kantar, a global market research conglomerate. He was also President of The Barnier Group, LLC, a Chicago-based business and technology search, projects and advisory firm and lead their Technology Advisory Practice. His primary work with Barnier Group was as senior technology advisor for private equity firm New Mountain Capital where he supported all technology activity across their portfolio of companies. Mr. Moroney also helps companies optimize telecom, network and cloud costs and architectures via his ongoing industry broker relationships.

Mr. Moroney is President and Founder of Technology Leaders Association (TLA) (www.techleaders.net) a 15-year old collegial networking organization for senior technology executives. He is a BOD member of i.c.stars (www.icstars.org) which helps train young adults from economically and/or socially challenged environments for leadership opportunities in technology, business and the community. He is a BOD member of www.Saluteinc.org which helps wounded veterans and their families receive financial, physical, mental, and emotional assistance to return to improved lives post active-duty related injuries.
