Monica Carranza brings 10+ years of industry experience to her role as Director of Transformation Technology at Baker McKenzie. Before Baker McKenzie, Monica served as the CIO for the Illinois Department of Employment Security where she led technology improvements that prevented $800+ Million in fraud. In 2015, while serving as the IDES CIO, Monica was chosen as a member of the team challenged to implement the State of Illinois’ Data Analytics practice. Her efforts led to the realization of a statewide Enterprise Memorandum of Understanding for interagency data sharing. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar and received her law degree from Loyola University.
