An award-winning global IT leader, Ron Swan is Director of Information Technology at the American Society for Clinical Pathology, a medical professional society with more than 100,000 member board-certified anatomic and clinical pathologists, pathology residents and fellows, laboratory professionals, and students. Since joining ASCP in 2006, Ron has managed a diverse portfolio of projects, including migration to a cloud environment and mobile application development. He also oversees daily infrastructure operations and software development for ASCP. Under his leadership, ASCP’s staff has worked to improve efficiencies, stabilized operations, and significantly grow revenue from digital channels for the organization.

Prior to joining ASCP, he worked for IBM, where he managed multiple Fortune 500 clients and concurrent projects, ranging from $1.5 million to $6.5 million. His industry expertise encompasses retail, insurance, financial, medical, and education industries. He was awarded two “Service Delivery Excellence” recognitions.

Ron earned a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and an MBA from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University, Chicago. He and his wife, Julie, have a daughter, Ramey, 6, and son, Ethan, 4. Ron is an active member of the Executive Club of Chicago, enjoys travel, and spending time with friends and family.
