i.c.stars Announces Relocation to a Larger Chicago Office Space

On July 23, 2012, i.c.stars announced that it will be relocating to a larger office space in downtown Chicago. Please make note of the new address at 415 North Dearborn Street, Suite 300, Chicago, Illinois 60654. The move is effective August 1, 2012, and assists with i.c.stars commitment to growing the number of interns served per training cycle from 15 to 20. The move will enable i.c.stars to serve 60 interns per year in the new location.

“We are thrilled to relocate to a larger office that enables our team of interns and staff to be housed on the same floor with an open floor plan,” said Sandee Kastrul, President and Co-founder at i.c.stars. “We have enjoyed our time in our current space and have made many memories along the way. We look forward to continuing to build the next generation of tech leaders in our new home.”

After almost a year of careful deliberation, the Board of Directors determined that in order to expand the growing needs of the program and larger staff size, a new space was necessary as an ideal base from which to grow. The location of the new office will enable i.c.stars to continue to form close ties with volunteers, sponsors, and the CIO community.

“Due to the phenomenal growth we have experienced over the last few years, i.c.stars is excited to move to a larger space that will allow us to better serve our existing interns and continue our expansion efforts,” said Eric Lannert, Vice President of Operations and Technology at i.c.stars. “We strive to provide an office environment where our talented staff and interns can continue to answer the challenges presented by today’s rapidly-changing technology landscape.”

i.c.stars was formed in 1998 by Sandee Kastrul and Leslie Beller. Since then, the organization has been operating as a collaborative project-based IT leadership development corporation for more than a decade. Interns in i.c.stars program take on a grueling 70-hour per week, four-month program that dives deep into business plans and technology solutions. Upon graduation, alumni of the program enter the workforce with one of more than 40 IT-related companies – spanning the healthcare, software, governmental and manufacturing industries.
