Dan Verdeyen is Chief Architect at CDW. He has lead the development and technical architecture teams (approximately 150 coworkers and consultants) for CDW’s Business Systems, including E-Commerce, System I, PeopleSoft, and Business Intelligence platforms. Dan works closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Purchasing, Coworker Services and Legal to determine how to best leverage business system assets and processes to meet the companys short and long term strategies. Working with his team, he sets the technical direction for our business systems ensuring system flexibility in a changing business climate. Dan partners with software vendors to leverage their products to support CDW business processes, including product negotiation and procurement of enterprise software, such as PeopleSoft. Under his direction, CDW’s Business System Team has implemented a state of the art Distribution Center; a Marketing Relationship Management system; a Sales Productivity Suite (S|P|S); and made large scale advancements to E-Commerce platforms. CDW.com is a $2 billion platform and the 6th largest E-Commerce review generator in the world.

Dan joined CDW in 2001 as Senior Manager of E-Commerce Development where he led the development of requirements, design, application development and support for all E-Commerce related applications at CDW. Before joining CDW, Dan was Vice President of Application Development for PocketCard, Inc. and Director of Consulting Services for IntegrationWare, Inc.

Dan earned a Bachelor of Science in Aircraft Engineering from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University and a MBA from Northwestern Kellogg school of Management.
