Sabrina King recently joined the LEARN Charter School Network as Chief Talent Officer to transform their human resources function in support of the Network’s next expansion stage. She is also serving as their Interim Technology Director. LEARN provides 4,200 elementary students from lower-income urban locations and nearby military bases with a tuition-free, family supportive college prep education.
Creating organizational cultures that celebrate and capitalize on the ‘human’ side of human resources and contribute to higher business success is a personal passion for Sabrina. She specializes in strengthening organizations to serve their mission through the selection and placement of the right talent, then fostering active engagement of their people through inclusive, participative workplaces. Sabrina honed her HR expertise serving at two $1 billion+ operating companies that each earned public recognition as ‘top Chicago employers’ after earning her master’s degree in organizational behavior and database management from J.L. Kellogg Business School at Northwestern University. She began her career as a Business Analyst for Salomon Brothers in New York.

Sabrina has been a hands-on board member of i.c. stars for over 6 years and also serves on the board of Code Platoon, a start-up tech bootcamp for veterans, and Alliant Credit Union, a $10 billion credit union serving United Airlines and other large Chicago corporations.
