Terry Merkley is a successful IT executive who currently serves as Vice President of Information Technology at the Institute of Food Technologists. Terry is providing technology direction and leadership as the association executes a multi-year strategy to maintain and enhance its traditional strong performance during a period of profound change for professional associations and for the food industry. Before joining IFT, Terry served as Vice President of Information Technology at the American Association of Diabetes Educators, where he led a similar multi-year initiative to align technology infrastructure with the organization’s strategy. Terry has also held senior technology management positions at TCS Education System, where he established shared technology infrastructure and enterprise applications for its flagship psychology school and three affiliated professional graduate schools, and Attorneys’ Liability Assurance Society, the market-leading provider of lawyers’ professional liability insurance. Terry holds an MBA from The University of Chicago and a BA from Indiana University.
