As CIO for Argonne National Laboratory, Stuart is responsible for all platforms and systems relating to business and operations including applications development, delivery and support; infrastructure, telecommunications; library services, knowledge management; and cyber security. Stuart provides leadership for strategic information technology goals, driving improvements and innovations through planning, development and deployment of key information technologies and processes.

Prior to joining Argonne, Stuart held information technology leadership positions in the financial service industry, where he led architecture and development teams to design and deploy information technology applications and systems. Before moving to the USA in 1998, Stuart worked as technical product manager for Honeywell Asia Pacific in Sydney, Australia.

Stuart holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Technology Sydney, and received his MBA with honors from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
