Mary Ellen Woods, recently left position as CIO at Illinois Housing Development Authority.

IHDA is a self-supporting agency that finances affordable housing across Illinois. Since its creation, IHDA has provided more than $15 billion to finance a quarter million affordable homes.

Formerly VP and CIO of Veolia Water North America. While there she led the development of IT strategy and its implementation and delivery. Veolia Water provides potable and waste water management for municipalities and industries in North America. VWNA is a division of Veolia Environnement, the world leader in environmental services, traded on the Paris Bourse.

Prior to joining VWNA, Mary Ellen held a variety of IT leadership positions in the Brunswick Corporation, Life Fitness (a Brunswick company), JC Whitney, Smurfit-Stone Container and began her career at Inland Steel (now doing business as ArcelorMittal Steel).

Mary Ellen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters in Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy Studies at the University of Chicago. She is a past President of the Notre Dame Club of Chicago and serves on the Club’s Scholarship Foundation.
