iOpener 2025 was more than an event — it was a testament to what’s possible when community, industry, and innovation converge.
We were honored to host an extraordinary lineup of leaders and visionaries:
Mayor Sly James, whose opening remarks reminded us of KC’s power to lead with heart
Will Shields, Chiefs Hall of Famer and Chair of the i.c.stars | Kansas City Advisory Board, inspiring us with his commitment to mentorship
Nick Gicinto, CISO at William Jewell College, delivering a keynote that challenged us to think boldly about cybersecurity and leadership
A cross-sector panel of trailblazers, moderated by Matt Sharples, CEO of TriCom:
Susan Wally, CEO, PREP-KC
Solissa Franco McKay, Executive Director, ProX
Floyd May III, CIO, SelectQuote
Art Silva, CIO, Helzberg
Magen Gicinto, CPO, Nisos
Mayor James, Co-founder, Wickham James
Cycle 04 Project Sponsor & Resident testimonials brought the room to tears — especially the heartfelt words from Chris Underwood, VP and General Manager 1898&Co., who reminded us that this work is not just transformational — it’s personal.
