Join i.c.stars for Hack the Dream- a social impact hack-a-thon that celebrates the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by bringing together technology and community organizations.
This engaging event will feature a spoken word performance, a panel diving into community health and the economic and social conditions that influence inequities in health status, as well as a hack-a-thon helping to solve challenges that our community organizations are currently facing.
Children 5 years of age and older are welcome at no additional charge. Please email scook@icstars.org with their names and ages if your child will be attending.
What to expect:
*Artist performance in the legacy of King – Wisdom Speaks
*A powerful conversation on the intersection of Tech & healthcare access led by University of Chicago Medicine
*A hands-on kid’s activity led by the National Society of Black Engineers
*Design Thinking for Impact Facilitated Session led by Sneha Jalukar
*Ideation and Social Impact Pitch Activity with CBO Partners
*Speakers to include:
