I must admit, reality television is a guilty pleasure of mine. Now in it’s 25th season, Survivor stands strong. This got me thinking, how can we take a similar concept to highlight the innovation in Chicago? Without the voting off of course!
I feel that some of the best things you can do for your business is talk to your users. Better yet, talk to people that don’t use your product or service. I love being in front of someone and telling them about i.c.stars. Different people perk up on different aspects of the business. That way I am always learning about what stands out to others to tailor my message.
With all the great work of 1871, The Chicago Innovation Awards, and Chicago Lean Startup Challenge, we as a city are abuzz about new products and services to make us more efficient. Our next event is called TechBash on November 13th. Over 400 CIOs, IT professionals, and entrepreneurs will come together to network and enjoy cocktails.
